Bondtech INDX for CORE One+Eight nozzles. True multi‑material. Virtually zero waste.

The INDX is an extremely fast, highly efficient toolchanger system with up to eight independent toolheads that seamlessly integrates with your CORE One+ 3D printer. Each material gets its own dedicated path, so you can combine rigid and flexible parts, use easy-to-remove or dissolvable supports, switch nozzle sizes in the same print, and print multi-color models without throwing half of the spool to waste.

      CONVERSION KIT

You already own half of it

If you already have a CORE One+ 3D printer, the INDX is a conversion kit, not a new machine. Install the Smart Head, mount the tool docks, load your filaments. Your existing print sheets, filament collection, PrusaSlicer profiles, and Prusa Connect setup carry over unchanged. Same printer, dramatically more capability.

      Lightning-Fast Toolchanger

Keep all the features of your CORE One+, like high-speed printing and a smart ventilation system, and give it a massive boost with this extremely fast tool-changing system. The INDX toolchanger achieves unbeatable results thanks to rapid induction heating of its nozzles. It doesn't waste time on wipe towers. Only with the INDX, you'll get beautiful, multi-material 3D prints faster than ever before - and with all the benefits only a toolchanger can provide.

      Real Performance Metric

True Toolchange Time: ~12 seconds per change

We measure toolchange time from the last extrusion on one material to the first extrusion on the next, on the model itself. This avoids inflated and misleading numbers based on partial steps. The ~12 seconds per change for PLA is the time between when one nozzle leaves the printed part until the second nozzle starts printing.

Three Major Benefits for Better 3D Printing

No Wipe Towers / Purge Blocks

No Wipe Towers / Purge Blocks

Nearly all multi-material systems place a block in the corner of your print sheet where the nozzle purges excess filament. The INDX doesn't do that. You can use up to 248×205×270 mm for your prints!

      Doors Closed, at All Times

      Doors Closed, at All Times

Many enclosed printers require you to keep the chamber door open when printing PLA or PETG, eliminating the benefits of the closed chamber. The INDX retains the unique ventilation system, so you can keep the doors closed.

      Use Any Filament You Want

      Use Any Filament You Want

The INDX is not limited by storage options or proprietary RFID chips. You are completely free to use any spool you like, including all the materials you already know and love.

Stop Wasting Filament!Cheaper solutions get expensive really quick

INDX Does Not Create Excessive Waste

This is how multi-material should be done.

Nearly every multi-material solution on the market produces excessive plastic waste during filament changes. A cheaper machine might save you money on day one, but you'll pay the difference in wasted filament by month six.

When INDX swaps materials, it purges around 13 milligrams of plastic (0.013g) to stabilize the pressure inside the nozzle. That means no huge purge structures, no large piles of filament “poop,” and absolute minimum wasted material across long and complex prints. The INDX produces 5× less waste than the most efficient systems and 30× less than standard filament rewinding systems.

      new level of reliability

      Advanced Nozzle Wiper

Zero attention required even during long print jobs

The advanced nozzle wiper for induction nozzles helps remove any residue left on the nozzle before printing resumes, improving cleanliness during swaps and reducing the risk of stray blobs affecting print quality. The nozzle wiper is located on a purge collector, where the nozzle deposits the micro-blob of plastic, smaller than a grain of rice.

This is all the waste INDX generates during filament change!

Less than a grain of rice (13 milligrams)

The Amazing Things You Can Create

Choose from over a million free 3D models at Printables - even single-color objects can be easily painted.

The Innovations that Drive the INDXOnly one active component - less complexity, lower price, easier to use.

      Smart Active Head

      Fast Induction Heating

The INDX Smart Head contains an induction coil - just like an induction cooktop. When it picks up a toolhead, it generates a high-frequency magnetic field that heats the nozzle from cold to printing temperature in seconds. When the tool is parked, it cools rapidly. No oozing, no stringing from idle nozzles.

      HIGH-FLOW NOZZLES

      Passive Toolheads

Using passive tools without any electronics is a massive advantage: they are less complex and more reliable. Adding a fifth, sixth, or eighth tool means adding a nozzle and a parking dock - not another full print head. By default, the INDX comes with high-flow 0.4 mm nozzles.

      The Dynamic Extruder

      Self‑adjusting grip for different materials

Soft materials need a gentler grip than rigid, fiber-filled ones. The INDX features a unique mechanism that adjusts the drive gear tension automatically, so you can move from TPU to rigid engineering filaments without stopping to retune the extruder.

      8 materials conveniently loaded

      Always Ready to Print

Load eight filaments, install different nozzle sizes from 0.25 to 0.8. When you start a print, everything's already ready and loaded. Just pick the right tool. If you like to use different filaments and nozzles, and hate constantly swapping everything around, the INDX is the solution for you.

      Choose from hundreds of materials

The included nozzles are a perfect choice for materials like PLA, PETG, ASA, TPU, PolyCarbonate, PA11 Nylon, PVB, BVOH, and many others - essentially all non-abrasive materials.

The nozzles are surface-hardened nitrocarburized steel; not designed for long-term printing with abrasive materials. They are rated for 10kg of PETG-CF, or 5kg PC-CF, or 0.5kg Prusament Ultraglow before print quality is affected.

      Choose Your Kit

Both kits include the same Smart Head and docking hardware. The only difference is the number of passive tools. You can always add more later.

      Effortless Start

The INDX conversion kit doesn't have the same bed-mounted calibration pin as the Prusa XL. Instead, there is a new toolhead offset calibration system, permanently mounted outside the print area. - Dual-Target Precision: Uses a secondary target to actively cancel background noise, ensuring highly precise sensor readings in any environment. - 20x Faster: Calibration takes just 15 seconds per toolhead - down from hundreds of seconds on the stock XL. - Improved Repeatability: Streamlines setup while delivering highly consistent results.

      Keep your filaments dry

Works Perfectly with Prusa USS Drybox

INDX spoolholders are fully compatible with the Prusa USS Drybox and you can attach all eight of them. This way, you can keep your advanced, hygroscopic materials neatly stored and dry - and have them always ready for a new print job.

      One nozzle is a limit

      Why single-nozzle multi-material has a ceiling

      Shared Melt Zone

Every single-nozzle multi-material system has the same fundamental problem: one melt zone for multiple materials. Every color change means unloading the old filament, loading the new one, and purging everything in between.

      Expensive Waste

On complex prints, the waste usually weighs more than the finished object. That's a physical limitation baked into the architecture, not a design choice. You can optimize it, but you can't eliminate it. Even with cheap filaments, you are effectively throwing away your money.

      Trouble with Mixing Materials

You can't combine materials that create an incompatible environment in the nozzle. Try running TPU through the same hotend as PLA and watch the jams pile up. Different nozzle sizes in one print? Impossible with only one nozzle.

      INDX Toolchanger

      • Each tool has its own nozzle, no need to purge
      • Virtually zero waste, no wipe towers or filament "poop"
      • No cross-contamination between materials
      • TPU, PVA, Carbon Fiber and PETG in one print
      • Works with any filament brand, any spool size

      Single‑Nozzle Systems

      • Single nozzle must purge old material before loading new
      • Purge tower can weigh more than the finished print, large filament "poops" require frequent management
      • Residual material causes color bleeding and contamination
      • TPU jams in shared hotends
      • Space limitations, some systems lack profiles for filaments without proprietary RFID chips

What INDX unlocks on CORE One+

The enclosed, actively heated chamber of CORE One+ already prints the full material range. INDX adds the ability to mix them in a single job — without a purge tower, and without swapping spools mid-print.

      PLA

      Easy to print

Eight PLA spools at once means eight-color models without a purge block. Every CHT nozzle is high-flow, so color swaps stay fast even on detailed prints.

Important INDX nozzle update - August 2026

Bondtech has confirmed that the nozzles currently supplied with the INDX system are surface-hardened, not fully hardened as originally planned.

The supplied nozzles are suitable for common materials, such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, PC, PA (Nylon), PVA, BVOH and other non-abrasive filaments. However, they are not recommended for regular printing with highly abrasive materials, such as glow-in-the-dark or heavily filled composite filaments, as these can cause rapid nozzle wear.

The nozzles are made from nitrocarburized steel. While in our initial tests, we saw no wear on the nozzle after printing 5 kg of PETG-CF, more abrasive filaments can strip down the hardened layer, after which the nozzle performance degrades rapidly.

As for the hardened nozzles, we are waiting for details from Bondtech and cannot provide a reliable availability date or price. Developing, validating and preparing these nozzles for serial production is expected to take time.

      Ready to upgrade?

Eight nozzles. Zero purge. The multi-material upgrade your CORE One+ was built for.

      Bondtech INDX for CORE One+

      from $499

What can you achieve with 8 nozzles?

Multi-material goes beyond color. It lets you build functional parts that combine properties no single filament can deliver.

      Professional prototyping

      Multi‑color without the usual mess

This is where the INDX makes the biggest difference for most people: multi-color printing with almost no wasted filament and far less time lost to purging. Your filament goes into the model, not into a purge tower.

      Complex geometry unlocked

Supports that are easier to remove

Print the main part in one material and the supports in another that separate more easily. That means cleaner overhangs and less post-processing.

The #1 request from the community

Rigid + Flexible in One Print

Print a hard housing with a soft seal, grip, bumper, or hinge in the same job. The INDX keeps each material in its own nozzle. No jams, no shared hotend fighting soft vs. rigid filament.

      Speed meets detail

      Mix Nozzle Sizes Mid‑Print

Keep a variety of nozzle sizes loaded in and ready instead of stopping to swap them by hand. Use 0.25 mm for miniatures, 0.6 or 0.8 mm for brackets and shop parts, and keep a few 0.4 mm nozzles as your everyday printing. You can even mix them in one print.
