Prusa XL to Prusa XL+ Upgrade - 1 Tool Head

Please note: early XL models may require new Dwarf boards - see below.
The XL received a number of important upgrades that make the user experience and print quality better, speeds faster, and operation easier and even more reliable.

The XL aligned its toolheads with a mechanical pin - accurate, but lengthy. The XL+ uses a dedicated electronic sensor to align toolheads fully automatically.
The XL+ prints 10–15% faster than the XL. On a 60-hour prop print, that's roughly eight hours back - one more evening in the workshop, or one more batch per day in production.
The new GT1.5 belts also bring a visible improvement. They help make fine repeating artifacts less noticeable, which is especially useful on the large, smooth surfaces the XL is often used to print.
New, improved cooling on individual toolheads leads to perfect print quality and outstanding overhang performance - your prints will look better and you'll need fewer supports. Plus, there are additional fans and heatsinks to cool down the electronics.
At the start of every print, every nozzle is cleaned using the nozzle wiper - more precise pre-print calibration, better looking prints.
Every feature we shipped across the whole Prusa lineup since the XL launched is in the XL+ out of the box.

Dwarf board serial number in a format 08|XXXX-XX|xXX
Locate the Dwarf board serial number on all your toolheads to find out whether it's compatible with this upgrade.
If your Dwarf board is marked with a number 07 or lower, it is necessary to replace it with a new one before upgrading. Dwarf boards marked with 08 and higher are compatible with this upgrade.

New GT1.5 belts make unwanted repeating patterns finer and harder to notice, especially on large, smooth surfaces where even subtle artifacts can stand out.

At the start of every print, every nozzle is cleaned using the nozzle wiper - more precise pre-print calibration, better looking prints.

New plastic parts are made from PC and PCCF to withstand elevated temperatures in the enclosure.

Fully automated, twenty times faster process of tool offset calibration - and even more precise than before.

Print cooling on par with the award-winning MK4S and CORE One printers. Reworked cooling of printer's critical components for reliable operation in demanding conditions.
If you already own the original Enclosure for Prusa XL, you can keep it even when you upgrade to Prusa XL+ because it is fully compatible. However, it won't reach 50°C like the new one.
