Prusament PETG Orange for PPE 1kg
To support everyone who produces 3D-printed PPE, such as face shields, we decided to make Prusament PETG Orange for PPE available with a heavy discount.
This Prusament PETG is primarily made for printing PPE (Personal protective equipment). The material composition matches Prusament PETG Prusa Orange, however, to speed up the production, the diameter tolerance is ±0.03mm and the winding is not as perfect as on the usual Prusaments. It's still a high-quality filament, which we've been using on our print farm for a long time.
PRUSAMENT TO FIGHT THE COVID-19
WHY WE STARTED TO MAKE IT
In reaction to the acute shortage of protective wear for medical personnel in the current pandemic situation, we started producing Prusament PETG Orange for PPE. Our goal is to offer quality materials suitable for the current situation.
3D PRINTED PPE
This Prusament is designed primarily for anyone printing personal protective equipment. We made an open-source face shield and provide all of the files, FAQ and assembly manual at prusa3d.com/covid19.
FASTER MANUFACTURING
The manufacturing process is faster due to not so strict diameter tolerance ±0.03mm and faster winding. Unlike standard Prusament, spools do not have their unique ids and cannot be checked on our website.
WHO IS IT MADE FOR?
Even though anyone can order it, this Prusament is mainly for those in need of material for printing PPE. Less pretty winding, lower diameter tolerance than standard Prusament, lower price, but still a quality material which is ideal to print PPE effectively and fast - we use it, too!
